ABOUT

Teresa McCann Clark is a painter based on the edge of the Lake District. Working between abstraction and landscape, her paintings explore weather as both meteorological event and emotional condition.

Living in London for over twenty years, McCann Clark worked as a writer and director across film, television and performance. She has been commissioned by the BBC, Film4, the BFI and Channel 4, with international projects including work with Cirque du Soleil.

Shaped by the shift from the intensity of the city to the intensity of wilderness, her painting practice emerges through walking, observation and a sustained engagement with the surrounding landscape. She works from her home studio at Willow Cottage.
